It's going to be a big week!!!

This week:

* I'm going to put together my birth-plan and discuss it with my OB to make sure everyone is on the same page.

* I'll be having a consult (and possibly an ultrasound) regarding my possible GD, because the consensus is that I'm still borderline, as I've been from the get-go, and the OB wants me treated for diabetes while the endocrinologist (read: expert) does NOT think it's necessary.

* We should be finishing patching up and painting the baby's room, which means we should be able to go get his furniture and put it all together! :)

* I'm going to put together as many resources as I can on Bradley Method and Hypnobirthing so I can feel prepared to go natural when the time comes. I will, of course, listen to my body and push myself as hard as I can, but I am trying to be flexible as well in case I decide to give in to medication. As it is, I feel like I'll be very disappointed in myself if I give in to pain meds, but I'm trying to convince myself to be reasonable and not be so hard on myself, because the fact is that I don't know what I'll be up against. I want to be fully present for the birth of my son, that's what's most important to me.

* I will (FINALLY) be setting up our cord blood banking, after taking several weeks to research our options and this whole last week to think about which company we will be going with. I might do a post on  this decision soon...

* I hope to set up a tour at the hospital to become familiar with the L&D ward, and to make an appointment for a 3D/4D ultrasound before our little sir is too big for a good pic :)
