We had our baby shower this past weekend on the 23rd, and it was so great! I had been uneasy about the idea of a baby shower since it occurred to me that I would have one, just because I really don't like being the center of attention, and I ESPECIALLY hate opening presents in front of people. I never know how to react, even when I legit love what I've received! It's too much pressure LOL
Well, my mom put everything together and it came out PERFECT. All I did was give her my guest list (which she MOSTLY stuck to LOL) and tell her that I wanted owls, blue, green and brown (since that's what we're going for with Elliot's room as well). She took it from there and MADE every decoration herself, while my grandmother made all the food for the 60 people that were there! My paternal grandparents had the flu and it broke my heart (and theirs) that they couldn't be there, which is the only thing I would have changed about the whole event. My husband made sure to take LOTS of pics to show them when we visit them next week, and here are a few of my favorites (there are A LOT).
I was told my one of my husband's cousins that he had been dragged to a LOT of co-ed showers before, and that they're always a bummer, but that he had a great time at ours and he was impressed at how awesome everything was. I think that says it all right there! ;)
